Bachelor of Business Information Technology (BBIT) - The course and where one can work.

The Bachelor of Business and Information Technology (BBIT), is a course that combines the elements of business management and information technology.
AS the business operations become increasingly intertwined with information technology, it becomes important to inculcate in one skills that they can cope in this fast changing world. As already discussed, business management will involve knowledge in such areas accounting and finance, strategic management, insurance, marketing, human resource, entrepreneurship, innovation and
other related areas.

On the other hand, information technology will involve skills such as programming, database management and using IT to enhance the business operations of a person. Therefore, careers that one can pursue after studying for the course includes a system analyst, IT analyst, technology officer, innovation manager, business operations manger etc. The course can be offered in many public and private Universities.

  2. Hi! I'm not sure of the exact fees at Strathmore, but I'm sure it should be anywhere between kshs.140,000 and kshs.220,000 per academic year. You can check more from the strathmore University website.

  5. For a masters degree in BBIT, you need an undergraduate degree in business administration, BBIT, BCOM, IT, business management, computer science and any other business or IT related discipline.

I find getting a job with this degree almost impossible because there is no specialization in either accounting nor programming.it's a little of this and a little of that.I think that curriculum should be revised coz i feel like i did go for the wrong career choice for competing with people who have done BA wholly and IT specialists.

  16. How many people do you know who have done the BBIT course (degree or diploma ) and have gotten a job in kenya. The degree itself is very expensive nearly the same category with pure IT degree.
